Patrick Millsap focuses his practice primarily on litigation matters involving complex trust and estate disputes, including disputes over compliance with the Uniform Prudent Investor Act as adopted in the jurisdiction of the dispute, compliance with fiduciary duties in the administration of trust and estate matters, contractual and testamentary capacity disputes involving amendments to a pre-established estate plan, representation of beneficiaries and trustees involved in private family trust company disputes, and accounting disputes flowing from misappropriation of trust or estate assets. High-value trusts and estates often hold businesses and real estate, so Mr. Millsap’s practice naturally evolved to include litigating disputes involving businesses and real property. Thus, Mr. Millsap regularly engages in contract litigation, various forms of business litigation, and real property litigation involving water rights, boundary line disputes, nuisance claims, property usage disputes and ownership disputes. Lastly, Mr. Millsap comes from a Nevada family involved in Nevada’s construction industry for decades. Therefore, Mr. Millsap has advised and consulted on all areas of construction law, including mechanic’s liens, construction contract disputes, defense of construction defect actions, and defense of Nevada State Contractor’s Board complaints. From a personal standpoint, Mr. Millsap recognizes the practice of law blends legal expertise and excellence with being service oriented.
